BTC - FoxCar

The FoxCar CNC laminate plywood fuselage features large thermoplastic hatches and cowls for access to the entire payload area. The flying surfaces are fiberglass composite construction. Airfoils were optimized over the first gen TigerShark and the wing span was increased to 21 feet for greater lift and duration. The composite flying surfaces use a unique fabrication process involving the wrapping of a pre laminated cored skin around an abbreviated internal rib structure. The FoxCar came out at the same weight as the TigerShark in spite of the generous increase in wing and tail area. The first test flight in Yuma, AZ startled the pilot since it jumped off the runway a lot sooner than the TigerShark AC he was used to flying. An electric FoxCar is under consideration. It would be lightened and powered by a 8 - 14 kilowatt brushless motor.
